THE 2024 AUCTION is just a few weeks away! The auction is our annual get together to visit with friends and sort through fiber-related tools, equipment, books, raw fiber, yarn, yarn and more yarn! The Auction is a fundraising event and the revenue is used throughout the year to provide benefits and services to Guild members. The silent bidding and live auction make for a fun day with fiber friends.
Our Auction co-chairs — Joan Chapdelaine and Tracy Hagel are still accepting donations. Bring your items to the Methodist Church in Coupeville where the Firehouse spinners gather on Thursdays from 10 – 2 (except Thanksgiving). Or drop off your donations Wednesday December 4, the day of set-up, from 10 – noon at Fort Casey. Contact Tracy or Joan to make drop-off arrangements.
The Auction is a win-win-win event. You pass along items that have been taking up space in your closet, someone gets an item they can use, and the Guild raises money that benefits the members. And, it’s great fun. What’s not to like about that?
